Hayden Received an Award and Presented Paper at Conferences


Dr. Hayden was one of the Appalachian scholars recognized as a Distinguished Friend of Appalachia by the East Tennessee State University Center for Appalachian Studies and Services at the Appalachian Studies Association Annual Conference held at ETSU, Johnson City, TN. Above signing the Center's Wall of Distinguished Friends of Appalachia.

Hayden presented a paper: Omission and Exclusion: A Canadian Ethos at the 2nd Biennial Black Canadian Studies Association Conference (BCSA): Community, Empowerment & Leadership in Black Canada in Halifax, Nova Scotia at Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS.
